Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef (preferably 80/20)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian seasoned)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 large egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until evenly combined.
Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
For extra flavor, brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, turning to brown all sides (optional).
In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes until well combined.
Place the meatballs in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the top, ensuring each meatball is coated evenly.
Set your slow cooker to low and let the meatballs cook for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
Once cooked, give the meatballs a gentle stir to coat them in sauce and serve warm.
