Ingredients
Scale:
1 package of Oreo cookies (family size, about 15-18 cookies)
1 cup all-purpose flour (sifted)
1 cup milk (whole recommended)
1 large egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Optional: chocolate syrup, caramel sauce, or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
In another bowl, combine the milk, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat at least 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Oreos. Dip each Oreo cookie into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Carefully lower the battered Oreos into the hot oil, a few at a time.
Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown on all sides.
Use a slotted spoon to remove the Oreos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
Dust the warm Deep Fried Oreos with powdered sugar while they are still hot.
