Once seared, remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
While the chicken is baking, prepare the creamy garlic sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Once the chicken is done baking, remove it from the oven. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice and drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top before serving.
