Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup refried beans
1 cup taco sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey (optional)
1 medium tomato, diced
½ cup sliced black olives
1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
1 green onion, chopped
1 cup shredded lettuce
2 tablespoons sour cream (for serving)
Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each out into a circle about ¼ inch thick. Place them onto greased baking sheets or pizza stones.
Place the dough in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is lightly golden and crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Spread a layer of refried beans evenly over each crust. Next, add a layer of taco sauce, then ground meat if using, and top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Return the pizzas to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately top with diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, and green onions. Finish with shredded lettuce.
Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with fresh cilantro before slicing into wedges.
